Renowned transfer expert Di Marzio reported that 60-year-old Portuguese coach José Mourinho is set to return to management, taking the helm at Turkish giants Fenerbahçe.

Mourinho back in action again!
Fenerbahçe’s Portuguese sporting director, Mario Branco, has finalized the deal, and a 2-year contract is ready for Mourinho, with an official announcement expected within 24 hours.

Won Conference League with Roma!
The 60-year-old Mourinho began his managerial career at Sporting CP in Portugal, and has since managed Benfica, União de Leiria, Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, Chelsea again, Manchester United, Tottenham, and several other European clubs.

Mourinho was sacked in January 2024!
In May 2021, Mourinho was announced as the head coach of AS Roma, officially taking the position in July. During his tenure at Roma, Mourinho’s record stood at 68 wins, 30 draws, and 40 losses.

Mourinho remains available for awhile.
This January, Mourinho was dismissed by Roma and has been out of work since. Despite receiving lucrative offers from Saudi clubs, the Portuguese coach chose to remain in European football after 4 months of unemployment.

Fenerbahçe was runner up in the league!
This season, Fenerbahçe secured second place in the Turkish Super League with 99 points from 38 matches. Throughout the season, they only lost once, to Trabzonspor on November 2-3, and remained unbeaten in other matches.
Strong contender for league champion next season?
Despite this impressive record, Fenerbahçe finished behind Galatasaray, who accumulated 102 points. Nevertheless, Fenerbahçe has earned a spot in the Champions League qualifying rounds next season.
