In the 33rd round of Serie A, Inter Milan defeated AC Milan 2-1, clinching the league title with 5 rounds to spare and earning the right to embroider a second star on their crest!

Prior to this match, Inter already led Milan by a considerable 14 points, making it just a matter of time before they secured the title.

However, winning the derby and lifting the trophy in such fashion was undoubtedly the ideal scenario.

In this Milan derby, goals from Acherbi and Thuram secured a 2-1 victory for the Nerazzurri, marking their sixth consecutive win against their city rivals.

With this result, Inter amassed 87 points after 33 matches, leading by 17 points with 5 rounds remaining, thus sealing the Serie A championship ahead of schedule. 

They become the second team in Europe's top five leagues to achieve this feat this season, following Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga.
