Haaland's prospects for the Ballon d'Or appear bleak!

The Champions League quarterfinals for this season, Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid have secured their spots.

Considering the upcoming events this summer, such as the UEFA European Championship and Copa America, the Champions League is not the sole determinant for the Ballon d'Or.

According to previous odds for the Ballon d'Or, Real Madrid's forward Benzema leads, followed by Paris Saint-Germain's Mbappe and Bayern Munich's Kane in second and third place, respectively.

Mbappé and Bellingham are the frontrunners for the Ballon d'Or.

It's worth noting that currently, Mbappe and Kane are only one goal apart on the top scorer charts for this season.

Additionally, both the England team, where Benzema and Kane play, and the France team, where Mbappe represents, are considered favorites for victory in the upcoming UEFA European Championship. 

If these teams perform well in the tournament, it's highly likely that the Ballon d'Or will be awarded to one of these three players.

Haaland and Norway missing out for Euro 2024

Although Haaland is ranked fourth in the Ballon d'Or odds, Manchester City's elimination from the Champions League and Norway's national team missing out on this summer's European Championship may hinder his chances. 

However, Manchester City is currently leading the Premier League standings and has the potential to achieve a fourth consecutive title.
