Leverkusen clinches the title in advance + ends Bayern's dominance!

In the 29th round of 2023-24 Bundesliga season, the championship showdown unfolded as league leaders Bayer Leverkusen faced off against Werder Bremen at home.

With this win, Bayer Leverkusen clinched the Bundesliga title with five rounds to spare, becoming the 13th team in Bundesliga history to win the league title. 

This victory ended their 120-year wait for the title and broke a 31-year drought, also halting Bayern Munich's streak of 11 consecutive Bundesliga titles.

Furthermore, Leverkusen's unbeaten run of 29 matches set a new Bundesliga record for the longest undefeated start to a season, surpassing Bayern Munich's previous record.
